Kotogoto Daily
2006/07/11
Those of you who've been following the postings at my
Fotocommunity
profile will have noticed that my visual output has run pretty much dry over the past
few months. To me it seems like my sense for scenes has somewhat went on strike.
Or disappeared. Whatever the reason, I don't want it to stay that way, so I am
starting a new project to help me go back into photography. And thus, I present
you
Kotogoto Daily, the
(almost) daily Kotogoto photo blog.
The idea came from observing various photo blogs over the past time. In fact,
there are some that I've been following for a longer period of time. I don't know
why the idea of an own blog-type of site didn't pop up earlier, but when it did
a week ago, I instantly sat down, came up with a design and did the programming
quickly and without hassle. Yes, I am not using a blog system, although there
are many out there. Instead, I prefer to do it my way, so I created a little PHP
page along with a database. Many parts have already been used in this very site
before, so the transfer was easy. And now, here we go.
I intend to post a photo every day. Of course, I may not actually shoot a photo
every day, so there will be quite some images pulled from the archives. Which
is not a bad thing either, as there are many images that I didn't deem good enough
to post here or at the
Photosite,
but that are actually very well worth showing.
Please take the claim “daily photogoto blog” with a grain of salt,
as there may very well be days without a post. But in general, I try to post regularly,
since that's the use of a blog, isn't it?
And thus, my small compact digicam will accompany me more often that it used to,
and I hope that I can capture some interesting scenes and situations. The results
will be available for viewing at
Kotogoto
Daily. And of course, feel free to post your comments and thoughts under any image you like, or dislike.
